PERSONALITY
Positives
• At his very core, Walter is a very independent person. He can work well on his own and usually prefers it that way over having to be dependent on someone.
• Walter is as independent as he is laid-back and relaxed most of the time, because he is as carefree as the breeze.
• Walter has always been very creative. He thinks out of the box so much that sometimes he has problems thinking inside of one.
• Walter’s loyalty to those who’ve earned it is such that he will do almost anything for them and never leave them behind. The problem lies in earning it, though.
• Despite the fact that he only has a high school diploma, Walter is very intelligent and learns things quite quickly, as evidenced by his mastery of multiple weapons and languages despite his age.
• He’s not just very intelligent, but quite shrewd as well. He’s a good judge of character and has made many a great judgment call, especially in missions, though he isn’t nearly as good at it as those with Vongola blood in their veins.
• Walter is a very calm and patient person by nature, which was why it is actually hard to send him into one of his dangerous rages without knowing any of the right buttons to push.
• Walter finds it easy to make people like him and listen to him with his natural charisma. Amusingly, that same trait would make him a good leader if he ever bothered leading a group.
• Part of why he’s so charismatic is because he’s actually a really nice guy when he’s not angry or on the clock.
Negatives
• Normally Walter is nice, but when he does finally snap that legendary temper of his explodes into a fiery, psychotic rage that enhances his violent and vicious tendencies to dangerous levels. There is no one safe when he snaps; it’s best to hide in a bunker until he calms down and hope he doesn’t hunt you down before then.
• One of the things that stuck with him over the years is how to be opportunistic and take advantage of anything that’s beneficial to him. If there’s anything he learned, it’s that opportunity doesn’t come to you, you have to look for it yourself.
• Having experienced and seen so much strife in his life, it’s no surprise that he’s become so cynical.
• Part of why Walter has survived for so long is because he’s extremely stubborn. Guy doesn’t know when to quit.
• Walter is good-looking and he knows it. In fact, he’s vain to the point of always making sure to take meticulous care of his appearance.
• You’d think that such a nice and charming young man would be a pacifist, but in truth he’s actually very violent.
• He loves being nosy and snooping around in places that he shouldn’t, earning him the ire of quite a few authority figures.
• Because of his life, he’s learned to appreciate the power of control to the point of being unapologetically manipulative.
• Despite his calm exterior, he knows how to be extremely vicious when he wants or needs to be. It’s most often triggered by his bouts of rage, but he can do it willingly if he wanted to.

MISCELLANEOUS
- The reason for Walter’s Flames of Wrath can be traced back in his maternal lineage. You see, his maternal great-grandfather was Xanxus’ real father and a notorious manipulator and two-timer who liked tricking women into having sex with him with elaborate and grandiose lies if he didn’t outright rape them and drove them insane, like the one he fed to Xanxus’ mother. His great-grandmother was one of his many victims, but she got the last laugh when she helped bring him down and have him executed for his crimes once and for all.
However, the man managed to conceive a child with his maternal great-grandmother, which she decided to keep. However, her parents forced her to marry a man in order to hide the fact that she was carrying a criminal’s child. This child was Walter’s maternal grandfather and Xanxus’ half-brother, who would up becoming a normal merchant who had nothing to do with the Mafia world and thus never manifested his birthright’s flames. This average joe went on to marry and have a family with one daughter, Walter’s mother. This daughter then fell in love with an Italian hitman who was deeply entrenched in the Mafia world and apprenticed under him before he returned her feelings and married her, resulting in a union that bore three children. And thus, that is the story of Walter’s lineage. - Walter would probably have never manifested the Flames of Wrath if he hadn’t stumbled on a mafia killing his entire immediate family in cold blood in retaliation of a couple of hits they did for one of their rivals. But because they did, the incident made Walter snap for the first time in his life, triggering his legendary violent temper and causing his Dying Will flames to manifest, shocking the assassins before he killed them brutally along with some innocent civilians that tried to help and got in the way of his explosive fury.
- Yes, this means that he is Xanxus’ great-nephew.
- Walter’s been in and out of school for years before he finally forced himself to finish High School at the age of 19 in the honor of his family’s memory. Despite only having a high school diploma though, he’s actually very intelligent as seen in his fluency in multiple languages, which are his native German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin, Malay, English, Spanish, and French. He just needs to put the effort into things to excel.
- He doesn’t know why he has the Flames of Wrath, but he’d really like to know why he has such a rare flame and would inquire about it if he wasn’t trying to keep it hidden all the time and pretending that he has Sky flames.
- Speaking of which, he hides his Flames of Wrath because he associates them with his rage and because he likes having an ace in the hole. As such, very few people know about it, most of whom are dead.
- Before coming to Japan at the request of the Lupo family in order to join their famigilia, Walter worked as a freelance hitman. In fact, before he had come to Japan he was known as one of the best ones in the world and had been hired to perform many assassinations. This is because his father has trained him since he could walk on how to be a hitman, which included a lot of martial arts lessons, sparring, stealth classes, and a lot of other things related to being a gun-for-hire.
- His box weapon and box animal were made by the Darklight family as a favour to the Lupo family, who he helped on more than one occasion and who had strong ties with his father. As such, he owed them a huge favour, one that came to bite him in the butt when the Lupo family decided to cash it in.
- He’s 6’1” with an athletic dancer’s build.
- He has a huge speed addiction. The faster, the better.
- He’s actually ambidextrous but pretends to be right-handed.
- He loves singing and dancing… actually performing in general really, but he thinks it’s embarrassing. That’s why being a DJ is the most he allowed for himself.
- One of his favourite hobbies is looking for new and creative ways to kill or incapacitate people. He’ll read books about those topics out in the open, which tends to creep people out.

Flame Attribute & Abilities:
Flames of Wrath (Sky + Storm)
- Gottes Majestät (God’s Majesty) – This ability was developed by Walter after being inspired by comics and fairytales. In fact, this is the ability that earned Walter his nickname of Der Goldenen Drachen in the mafia world.
Through careful study, advice from many different people and a lot of trial and error, Walter has figured out how to forgo the use of a ring to utilize his Dying Will flames and convert them himself, allowing him to release his Dying Will Flames from any part of his body and not just his hands or legs like most others would do. This means that aside from the conventional places of releasing flames, he can also do it from places like his elbows, eyes, nose, mouth, ears, knees, back, etc. The flames are at their strongest when fired from his mouth or from his hands, because it’s very easy for him to use them as focusing points.
However, he has to be very careful not to do it in places where he’s wearing clothing or else he would burn those off if they’re not Dying Will Flame-resistant. If they are, then he should be even more careful because it might backfire on him. He still has to use a ring in order to activate his Box Weapon and Box Animal as well, as just blasting the objects with his flame wouldn’t work; in fact it might actually break them given the destructive nature of his flames.
This ability is most potent when used with his natural Flames of Wrath because of their sheer destructive power, but he prefers to use it with the Sky part of his flames in order to keep his true flame affinity a secret. This ability can also be used with the Storm part as well, but only when necessary though he uses it more often than his natural flames.

Box Weapon:
Artigli del Cielo (Talons of the Sky)
- This weapon is a pair of black Tekko Kagi. This Tekko Kagi is unique in that the claws are riveted to a thick leather bracer instead of the normal forearm/wrist band, making it more comfortable to use while giving it more strength and support. The claws themselves extend all the way to the end of the bracer to create a forearm cage, while the handgrip is shorter than usual for better control.
- iPhone and earphones
- Disposable cellphone
- Sunglasses
- Apartment keys
- Various Sky rings (ranks E-C)
- Various Storm rings (C rank)
- Wallet
- Hip flask
ABILITIES
- Der wütende Teufel (The angry Devil)
- This technique is basically imbuing Walter’s Dying Will flames into the weapon in order to enhance its effectiveness by making it much hotter to make cutting things much easier and neutralizing flames that strike it by using either Sky flames to harmonize and purify or Storm flames to disintegrate and disrupt. Using the Flames of Wrath increases both its potential offensive and defensive power, allowing it to cut through anything that hasn’t been reinforced with a lot of Lightning flames.
However, to those who are used to this technique it is obvious how to spot which flames he is using. The claws will glow orange for Sky, red for Storm, and red-orange for Wrath. A strong enough flame attack can overwhelm the shielding part and strike the weapon unabated. It cannot disrupt illusions either.

Box Animal:
KAISER -- Drago spettrale del Cielo (Spectral Dragon of the Sky)
- Kaiser is a striking spiky black dragon the size of a large eagle with gray eyes and only a pair of clawed hind limbs. He has no true forelimbs, only wings and an enormous tail. These eyes and clawed feet are wreathed with the flames that Walter has imbued to the dragon. The most striking thing about him his wings and tail look as if they were constructed out of stained glass. There are black gothic patterns all over the wings and tail, giving them an elegant gothic image that is more striking when the light hits these structures and increases the contrast between them as well as giving him an ethereal and otherworldly glow.
While his tail is always in shades of blue, the color of his wings and of the fires that surround his eyes and clawed feet depend on which flame Walter imbues him with. The normal orange tones are usually observed on him because Walter usually uses Sky flames, but when he does uses the Flames of Wrath the hues turn much darker, in shades of red-orange. In the few instances that he imbues Kaiser with Storm flames, the hues on his wings become dramatically darker, losing any remnant of yellow and gaining purely red hues.
One would expect an equally regal and dignified personality to go with such beauty. With Kaiser, that’s not the case. He’s actually a clear-cut jester. There’s never a shortage of mischief and sarcasm when this little trickster’s around. In fact he lives for laughter and applause, or alternatively pain and misery. He’s not that picky. For him, there’s nothing quite like watching people laugh at one of his jokes or pranks or watching his victims break down in fury and despair at being outwitted. This is the main reason why he decided to become Walter’s personal jester.
Kaiser serves as Walter’s greatest critic and his own personal devil’s advocate. Since he considers himself Walter’s personal jester, he has taken upon himself the hefty task of questioning and double-checking every single plan that his lord makes, looking for details and possible solutions that his lord might have missed while planning. No one’s perfect and anyone could use a good proof-reader like him. Of course, his opinion isn’t always appreciated or heeded but that never stops him from trying.
ABILITIES
- Riflessioni del Cielo (Reflections of the Sky)
- This requires Kaiser to absorb someone’s flames while having Sky or Wrath flames imbued in him. Once he has absorbed the other person’s flames, Kaiser’s wings will change color to the color of the flames that he has absorbed. He can then use the harmonizing ability of Sky flames to harmonize his own flames with the flames absorbed, enabling him to reflect it back as a burst or stream of Sky flames.
He can be hit by a maximum of six flame attacks before having to release the pent-up energy. If he hasn’t released the pent-up energy and he was hit with another flame attack, then he would actually receive damage instead of absorbing it like he normally would.
If Kaiser was imbued with Wrath flames instead of Sky flames, then he can also amplify the destructive power of the stored flames by turning them all into Wrath flames, which are more potent and powerful by nature. As such, the effective damaging power of the flames is doubled when they are turned into Wrath flames despite still having the same amount of flames.

Colt Mustang XSPs
- Walter owns a pair of Colt Mustang XSPs in order to assist with his hits. They’re easily his favourite guns out of all of the ones he had used and as such they’re his favourite tools to use for an impersonal, mundane kill. This 6+1 .380 semiauto gun is also great for self-defense when he doesn’t want to use his flames.
