Occupation: Outside the mafia, Arashi dabbles in private investigating for the police and being their informant. One of his other many occupations outside of 'work' involves dogs - from training them, to grooming them, and he is also a certified veterinarian - but doesn't do the latter all that much.
PERSONALITY
Positives
Loyal by nature, Arashi doesn't easily betray those he has declared his loyalty to and doesn't like it when anybody else betrays that loyalty as well. Loyalty in the mafia is hard to come by and it's something that is earned, rather than given. Sometimes compared to a dog, Arashi's protective nature is a great thing to have, especially towards whoever he is protective to. Vicious as a guard dog, Arashi would be willing to murder for those he deems worthy of his loyalty and his protection. A predator by that same nature of his, Arashi is highly methodical and very patient. He doesn't like having to do something more than once, so he simply does it right the first time. Patience is definitely a trait to have when it comes to some of the work he does because it means he does do it right the first time. Intelligence is a given, considering his position as Varia captain. Sometimes, he doesn't act like he's intelligence which can sometimes make people wonder about him, but that's just one of his oddities. There is a very fine line between madness and genius when it comes to this hunter.

Arashi is incredibly arduous, much to the annoyance of some of the people closest to him. He does things whenever he wants, however he wants. It's a bit difficult to get him to do what somebody wants because he just likes making people squirm. Those who manage to get him to do what they want are a rare breed. Arashi's love of making people squirm makes him rather patronizing and antagonistic. His prideful and arrogant nature makes it even more obnoxious when he is patronizing and antagonizing somebody. To be honest, the fact that his grandfather never killed him makes Xanxus one of those rare breeds. Of course, it doesn't help that Arashi at a certain point in his childhood knew that patronizing his grandfather and Squalo was probably not a good idea...but he did it anyway because it was fun. The more one delves into Arashi's personality, the more they realizes that those he is protective and loyal to he is also incredibly possessive over. They are /his./ They can complain about how possessive he is, but the apathetic trait of his that he shares with his half-brother makes him not give a damn about what anybody else thinks. He is rather blunt and will inform somebody of the fact that he doesn't give a damn what they think, as well and will tell people how it is rather than try to sugarcoat it.

Misc Info Arashi stands at 6'4 and is considered rather handsome in his features. Like many of the Varia, Arashi knows many languages including; German, Japanese, Italian, English, Latin, Chinese, Spanish, French, and Russian. He continues to learn new languages as well. Since Varia are considered geniuses, Arashi holds several college degrees. Criminal Investigation, Law, Political Science, and a Veterinarian degree. He specializes in infiltration, undercover work, and surveillance. He is able to create a perfect identity for anybody doing undercover work so that they can stand up to any scrutiny.
History Much like his half-brother, Casval, Xanxus' bloodline escaped the confines of Italy and into the small island country of Japan. Arashi, born Arashi Tsukino, was also the result of a very short-lived fling between a Japanese student studying abroad in Italy and the skirt-chasing son of Xanxus. Like many students who find themselves pregnant during their education, they have to make an important choice between education and child. She, at first, had chosen her education over the well-being of her child. Of course, her choice didn't last very long because once her family had discovered that she was bearing a child out of wedlock, they cut her off completely and she was forced to drop out half-way through her second year of college. Her parents gave her an ultimatum, place the child up for adoption and get rid of it, or be kicked out of her house. Angry with her parents for trying to place her with such a decision, she chose to be kicked out of the house shortly before the birth of her child.
It was hard for a single mother and a college drop-out to take care of a child as unruly and wild as Arashi. She couldn't afford daycare and could only ask neighbors in the small apartment complex she lived in to keep an eye on the child during her work hours. She was working two jobs, a waitress and a bartender at a nightclub. It was increasingly difficult to raise a child and work, especially a child that was getting older and getting into trouble. It was a lot easier when he couldn't walk, but Arashi had always been a little bit of a wild child...even as a child.
It was what finally broke the camel's back when she was fired from her job as a bartender because she was often late for work because she was tired after her first job. She remembered the deal her parents had offered. Get rid of the child and come back...or leave. That child was the cause of every problem that had plagued her life up until this point. She wasn't sure how the adoption process worked or how long it would take. She wanted out now. So one night, while her child was asleep, she slipped out of the apartment and never looked back or cared what happened to her child after that. She returned to her family, finished her college and even got married and had a set of twins with her rich husband. Life was good. The four years of being an unwed mother had just been a nightmare to her.
After Arashi's abandonment, he started living off the kindness of some of the tenants that had babysat him on a regular basis, but they couldn't afford a child either and eventually after a couple days of waiting for the return of his mother, he was out on the streets. A young child on the streets...it was probably impossible for him to survive long...but he managed to. A few months into his abandonment, something caused the first instance of his Wrath Flames to be released. Arashi is unable to remember what caused his flames to release at such an early age, but it was probably against something that was dangerous to him. It wasn't long before the news of a Flame of Wrath user reached the Varia and Xanxus and he, already know the skirt-chasing habits of his son, sent out his Varia to find and bring the child to him. When Arashi was brought to Xanxus, he automatically saw the family resemblance and took him into the Varia to raise. A few months after this, another grandson came to his attention and was also taken in. Arashi's name was also changed from Arashi Tsukino to Arashi Angelo Arca, removing any connection to his mother's family. In a sense, this also keeps her safe from anybody trying to use her or her family against him, but Arashi honestly doesn't care what happens to his mother, but the twin siblings she had after she remarried he does care about, even if they don't know they have a half-brother.
Arashi had already been training with the Varia for a few months before the arrival of his half-brother, so it was almost a surprise when Casval caught up to his brother in terms of training. They were both potential heirs to the name of Captain, so they were regularly pitted against each other in their training sessions. Each had their own fair shares of wins and losses, but more often than not, their fights ended up in a tie and even to this very day, it remains truthful. For six years they continued under the ruthless training of their grandfather until it was finally time to see which one of them would succeed him as Captain of the Varia. The fight to decide lasted for several hours, but eventually wound up like many of their fights did, in a draw with each other having a blade poking their throats. During the fight, Casval saw that he didn't have as much motivation to be Captain that his half-brother did and conceded to Arashi rather than having another fight with him later. Arashi's training seemed to intensify now that he was going to be the next captain of the Varia. By the same time a year later, Arashi was being sent out on regular Varia missions with a squad of subordinates to control and was a full-fledged Varia member. When Xanxus retired, Arashi took control of the Varia and offered the position of Vice Captain to Casval, but was declined and so like his grandfather before him, Arashi took on a Rain flame user as his vice-captain and instead offered the Storm guardian position to Casval.
Arashi has been Varia Captain for seven years now and during his reign as Captain, he has solved the issues between Giorno and Notte - by demanding a Ring Battle between the two factions and has realized the Shimon's betrayal long before anybody else has. Of course, the Ring Battle didn't end as he had planned. After declaring Kaya Sawada the winner, the Annullare with the Shimon attacked. The end of the battle and the following months left Arashi in the hospital from a mix of the damage the Earth guardian of the Shimon had done to him and Kaya. He, did, however; continually escape from the hospital to try to deal with some of the fallout that was going on between the merge of Giorno and Notte - only for Kaoru to usually send him back.

wrath of the underworld- ira della malavita; Using the flames of wrath combined, Arashi manipulates the flames into the form of a massive dog of sky-storm flames, wrath flames. This dog is made of pure flame so it doesn’t feel pain or anything at all and is thus quite the weapon to be used. It is controlled by Arashi’s concentration and is quite destructive because the sky flames within harmonize and then the storm flames that have been combined with the sky flames do their job of degeneration. However, because it does rely on Arashi to maintain concentration on this, he can sometimes be left open to attack.
Duration; six posts unless Arashi’s concentration is broken – which can be done by a distracting him with something like an attack, he gets bored and simply stops attacking, or the flames themselves are dealt with.
Cool down; This uses a massive amount of flames, so there is a cool down of eight posts.
Range; The range of which Arashi’s control lasts is sixty meters - the farther the beast though, the harder it gets to control, however.
Hyper Dying Will Mode - Hyper Dying Will Mode allows the user a calmer and more stamina version of Dying Will Mode than usual. The irises and pupils of the user darkens and their flames appear on their forehead, manifesting there will there. Hyper Dying Will Mode releases internal limiters placed upon a body unconsciously, allowing for full usage of their potential and power.
Being a Flame of Wrath user, the release of internal limiters on such a destructive flame puts more strain on the body than using a flame such as a normal Sky or a Storm flame would bring. This fact, makes this form of HDWM slightly more power and speed based than stamina due to the massive amounts of flames being released from the user itself. Unconsciously, many users limit their own abilities due to a body's inability to handle it, fear of harming others, or any other subconscious reason that one may limit their own abilities. Besides unlocking their potential for a short amount of time, HDWM also removes the subconscious limit on their own ability
Arashi's pupils darken to a steel gray color and his pupils brighten considerably, the color bright enough to stand out amongst the white of the eye itself and the other color. Dark red flames of wrath manifest themselves on his forehead. While he doesn't share Vongolian blood, he doesn't unlock Hyper Intuition, the massive release of flames from entering the mode as well as the constantly flurry of sky and storm flames, any illusions placed upon him or in close proximity to him begin to corrode.
Due to the considerable amount of power, but the backlash of that power, Arashi considers this to be his "ace" and has decided to only use it during emergencies. It has been noted by several lesser Varia subordinates that Arashi, the last few weeks, has been prone to locking himself in the training hall for several hours and not letting anybody else in, not even his own guardians. It is to be noted that nobody besides himself at this time knows of this ability and he'd prefer to keep it that way until the first time he actually has to use it -if only for the reactions of surprise he'd get.
Duration: 4 Posts. Normally five for normal users, the use of Flames of Wrath in Hyper Dying Will Mode places a large strain on the body, causing a lower duration for it...but in exchange for the stamina of the ability, Arashi is considerably stronger than the average HDWM user as well as faster. Should Arashi try to sustain it, the damage that could be sustained from doing so will exhaust him considerably.
Cooldown: Once a thread. If used more, the chance of exhausting himself into the hospital or a coma like Kaya did is raised considerably. Due to the amount of pressure on the body, this would be far more damaging than it had been to Sawada.

Arashi no totsugeki (storm’s assault)-
When Arashi first joined the Varia, this nodachi katana was given to him as a gift from Xanxus. Actually, it was from Squalo…but Xanxus put his name on it – as was his usual during Arashi’s childhood. Arashi had been trained in the way of the sword and all the style’s Squalo knew throughout his childhood – so even without the use of his flames through this weapon, he is deadly with it.
Heaven’s wrath- l'ira del cielo] – Arashi uses pure sky flames for this attack and coats his katana in Sky flames. When it hits flames, it harmonizes the flames and absorbs them into the sword. After this has been done, Arashi slashes the air with the blade – sending the absorbed flames back at the opponent – this time, combining storm flames into the sky flames he’s attacking with.
Box Animal:
Kuroshi the Sky Wolf.
Kuroshi is a fine example of a box animal specimen. Being far larger than a wolf should normally be, he is probably the size of a horse at 165 centimeters at 225 centimeters on his hind legs. Sky flames burn on his paws and along the bottom of his tail as well as the tips of his ears. Kuroshi is also able to ignite flames along his muzzle and claws.
Kuroshi is a proud and dignified wolf, much like Bester, his master’s grandfather’s box animal Sky Lion. Kuroshi also seems to share a similar personality to that of Arashi, sharing some of his habits and some of his mannerisms; however, Kuroshi seems to be more mature and reliable than Arashi is, often escaping his box when he knows his master is lazing about to try to get him to do his work. Arashi jokingly refers to his box animal as his ‘babysitter’ at times.
He shares twin attributes of Sky Flames and Storm Flames – but unlike Bester, he doesn’t change species between being imbued with flames and the flames on his paws and tail merely become tinted in red-orange flames to signify the flames of wrath.

Kuroshi takes a note from Bester’s own abilities in this one. It is a flame-based howl that takes note of the sky’s ability of harmonization and the storm’s degeneration skills. It ‘harmonizes’ flames and absorbs them from their enemy, causing flames to go out. Once the flames have been absorbed, it releases that power as its own – doing significant damage to enemies with their own flames. This ability only works in front of it, however. So if the opponent moves faster than he done it can be avoided.

Range: 10 meters in an 180 degree arc in front of him.

Designed after one of Xanxus' dying will guns, the X-Guns, Arashi carries only one of these weapons. They are capable of the same abilities as Xanxus; however, on a lesser scale. These weapons can not hold many flames and are prone to overheating and causing burns to the holder if overloaded with flames. If the flames are held even more after that, there is a small chance that the gun with discharge.
These guns are capable of storing Arashi's Flame of Wrath and then condensing those flames into a bullet. A condensed bullet can cause significant damage because of the sheer amount of power Flames of Wrath hold otherwise. Once shot, they guns are overheated and unable to be used for a number of posts.
Duration: Capable of absorbing flames from Arashi himself and condensing them with in the gun into a bullet - that takes two turns to be fully loaded. Any longer than two turns causes them to overheat and burn the user.
Cooldown: The guns are placed back within their heat-proofed holster for four turns until they are capable being used again.
