LUPO FAMIGLIA
Well, the story of the 13th generation is a fairly fresh one, started only a few years back. Kakeru's fifteenth birthday was the starting point of the whole affair. Kakeru was pulled aside by his mother, Maria Lupino-Daishori, and was told the truth of his lineage. That he was to become the boss of a mafia family. However, the stipulation was that each generation must fend for themselves for six years, until the time that they are to take over the family entirely, at age twenty-one. As such, Kakeru would have to find his Elementi himself, and would need to survive the threats to his life that are natural in the mafia world. So here we are, approximately four years later, two years from the appointed time. Can Kakeru survive these two years, as a dark shadow looms over his fate? Why don't you stick around to find out?

BACKGROUND
Many, many years ago, somewhere in the area of two-hundred-sixty years, to be a bit more precise, in a small town in southern Italy, is where this story begins. A man, a fairly scruffy man, gathered a group of his friends and relatives, and revealed to them a plan he had. He had grown tired of the warring ways of Europe of late, and desired to do something about it. He'd heard tell of a mystic flame that showed the nature of the wielder, and of craftsmen who could make rings to draw out this magical flame. After spending a few years tracking down one such craftsman, he commissioned a set of eight rings, one for himself, and one for each of the seven people he'd decided on for his peacekeepers group. However, there was a catch that he didn't find out about until much, much later. His group, now coming to be known as one of the early mafia "families", was considered a criminal faction, and were sometimes even dubbed as terrorists for their actions. But the man cared not about his own name. He would sacrifice anything and everything to stand by his beliefs. This man was the founder of the Lupo Famiglia, Volug di Lupino. The actions of this group had nearly completely ended war as the land knew it, and the mere mention of their name ended brawls and battles the continent over. However, this wouldn't last. Eventually, he would need to hand over the reigns to the next generation. To his daughter, Nereza. Much like her father, she and her followers, now dubbed the Sette Elementi, taking the aliases of the first generation as their titles, upheld the peace by taking down those who would cause conflict. The problem wouldn't start until her granddaughter Thetis's son, Achilles. She hadn't realized until far too late how appropriate that name was.
The realization came at the dawn of the first World War. Achilles was the head of Lupo at the time, having only recently become official, and he placed his trust entirely upon his Sette Elementi. One such, the Terra's Quake, by name of Lucio d'Leone, was a high-ranking official in the Italian government. Under orders from his direct superiors, Lucio had requested that the Lupo not become involved in the current political state. Achilles grudgingly agreed, as he trusted Lucio with his life, and in the span of a few short years, his trust was betrayed. War broke out, and engulfed much of the world. Achilles had failed to uphold his lineage, and he felt truly ashamed. At that point, he decided to withdraw from active duty as boss, leaving his Sette to hold things down while he raised his daughters, Svendita and Puria. Nobody could have expected what Svendita would turn out to be.
Svendita was fairly normal as a child, even among the children of mafioso. She played with her dolls, prettied herself up, but she also knew how to fight efficiently and fiercely. A real promising child. As she matured, she became a real bombshell, influencing much of Europe at the time, and being the first of the Lupo bosses to have a Sette of entirely one gender, all men she took a fancy to. But the one man she fancied most was the single greatest mistake ever made in the history of the Lupo. This man was Adolf Hitler. She had gotten word that the man she adored was planning to try and conquer the world for his own sake, and despite her oath to her family, she blatantly ignored it, trying to justify herself by saying "If one man conquered the world, there would be no war." Of course, her father and grandmother would not tolerate this kind of excuse, and were forced to enact the strictest of their punishments. Svendita was locked away, and her sister, Puria, was to become the new boss in her place. This was the first, and last, case of a Lupo boss being forcibly removed or detained.
Skipping forward a good few generations, to the 11th and 12th generations. The 11th generation boss, Spettro Lupino, was, and still is, a very powerful, imposing man, of strong convictions and stronger beliefs. Many consider him the strongest Lupo boss since Volug himself. His daughter, Maria d'la Rosa Lupino, was considered a problem child, however. She performed outstandingly well as Lupo Boss, even nearly equaling her imposing father in combat, but she was a wild, free spirit, much like her mother. On a tangent and annoyed with her father, she left Italy for an extended vacation, ending up in Japan. Looking to alleviate stress, she searched for the hideout of the toughest yakuza gang she could find, eventually ending up in the hideout of the Kurokami gang, headed by Akatachi Daishori. After thoroughly trouncing all of his subordinates, Maria motioned a challenge to Akatachi, who stood up, his figure revealing through his cloak that he had only his left arm. Without missing a beat, Akatachi was already behind her, ready to strike with his one hand. Maria countered, and the two managed to fight for four straight hours, at a complete standstill. At the end, both passed out, completely fatigued and acknowledging each other's power. Akatachi's subordinates, though waking up before either of them and still angry, knew to respect their boss and wait for his decision on what to do with the woman. Much to their surprise, he declared that he intended to follow the woman, and that his men could either join him as her subordinates, or leave the group. None of the thirteen men left. This began the wondrous relationship and eventual marriage of Maria and Akatachi, leading to the birth of their son, Kakeru, who was to become the next boss years later.
However, there was one who couldn't stand this turn of events. Spettro, very stubborn about tradition and superstitious about order, was completely against an heir to his family who was not completely Italian. He suggested that his sister's grandson, Jilio, should become the next boss in Kakeru's place. Maria, of course, was firmly and immovably against it. So, Spettro began to plot and plan. He would find a way to remove the risky factor, and have the family continue to move in his desired manner, instead of that of his daughter and grandson. He had something sinister in mind, and you'll just have to wait to see what it is~

GUIDELINES
Well, the Lupo don't really have many rules. Don't kill unless your life is definitely threatened, don't die, and definitely don't let the boss die. That's about it. Oh, and your Box Animal must be combat-oriented in nature.
HOW TO JOIN
Very simply, the members of the Lupo have to be interesting. Kakeru's Elementi need to be able to keep up with his insanity, so "normal" people wouldn't be suited for the job at all. To apply OOC, just drop a response here. Or, if you'd rather join IC, still reply here or PM me, and we can work out details.
